    Morris County's (NJ) Kenny Little was hoping for more attention and better numbers as a result of having a sensational senior season. BUT NONE OF THAT OCCURRED! Going into the season, the Mt. Olive running-back was on his way to having a 2,000 yard season and had plans on wowing college football recruiters even more than what he has already done as a result of an impressive junior season.

    North Plainfield's (NJ) Tyson Chandler stands a legit 6-foot-6 and tips the scale at 325 pounds. The Somerset County defensive-end was one of the leaders on the Canuck's defense this past season and should do the same in 2008.     Nick Sengotta may have spent some time on the sideline this past football season as a spectator, but once the senior linebacker/fullback stepped on the gridiron for coach John McKenna - there was no question that the Spartans were a totally different team. In the just six games this season - the Passaic recruit was able earn ALL CONFERENCE and ALL COUNTY honors.

    Former Middletown South star Knowshon Moreno was named First Team ALL SEC running-back alongside Heisman contender Darren McFadden of Arkansas. Moreno, a red-shirt freshman, Moreno rushed for 1,273 yards and 12 touchdowns and also had 18 catches for 227 yards. READ MORE INSIDE.

    Cherokee High School's Lynell Payne had traveled and heard enough, it was time to make a decision. With scholarship offers on the table from at least eight schools, the Burlington County senior has made a decision to where he will play collegiate football next fall. Payne becomes the fifth New Jersey receiver recruit to commit to a Division IA school.

    Bergen Catholic's junior running-back Nick Gerst was brilliant this weekend. He scored five touchdowns and rushed for more than 300 yards as Bergen Catholic defeated Phillipsburg, 48-7 this past Saturday. But for a freshman (Charles Davis, at left) to come into his first high school game and utilize his 4.3 speed rush for scores of 79 and 71 yards on his first two touches is a bit AMAZING.     There were indeed many standouts at this years Elite College Combine - but no one was more flamboyant at the QB spot than Bayside High School's (Virginia's) EJ Manuel (at left with Chris Melvin and his MVP award). At 6-foot-5, 210 pounds and the arm-strength that professional quarterbacks possess - Manuel caught the eye of every head and assistant college coach in attendance and added a few more scholarship offers to his previously impressive list.     You don't have to tell Dunbar High School's Reggie Ellis(Washington, DC at left with Chris Melvin) who the 2006 Elite College Combine Defensive lineman and Defensive MVP was. And you don't have to tell UNC-bound Marvin Austin (Ballou HS - DC) which recruit received the 2007 honor. The two stellar gridiron stars know each other quite well and even faced each other in a DC championship game last fall. But there is nothing but love and support between the two at this phase of their careers.
