06/19/2008: Hackensack's Bush to RU!
Not sure what's in the water - but everyone seems to going with the flow that coach Greg Schiano and the Rutgers staff are delivering. The past two weeks have brought about verbal pledges to Schiano by way of top players hailing from North Carolina, Delaware, Connecticut, and some of the Garden State's brightest stars for the Class of 2009. Schiano got a call from Hackensack (NJ) High School's TE Malcolm Bush who was impressed enough with the Rutgers aqua that he turned down five other offers not including two on the way.

06/18/2008: RUTGERS gets nod from Jersey WR & mom
Rutgers is on the verge of have one of their top recruiting classes of all-time. With the likes of one of the nations top two Class of 2009 quarterbacks having already committed in the likes of Pennsylvannia's Thomas Savage and New Jersey's Mohamed Sanu of South Brunswick (NJ). Now add in the likes of some other TOP players from across the entire Eastern Region including with one of New Jersey's most electrifying players hailing from South Jersey who chose the Scarlet Knights today on an unofficial visit.

06/13/2008: Winslow Sr. CB closing on needed score
Winslow Township High School (Camden County, NJ) had one of the states best cornerback prospects for the Class of 2008. Although Reuben Johnson may not be the biggest defensive-back around, his athleticism, confidence, toughness, technique, skills and desire make him one of the nations best and he proved just that since practice began for the 2008 NY NJ All Star Classic. Yet to commit to a school, Johnson has many college recruiters waiting for his recent test score.

06/09/2008: Hayward, Calabrese, Larrow, Loper, and other top juniors take in a CLASSIC experience
A high octane-fueled New Jersey squad led by Florida-bound Will Hill (left) handed a talented New York squad a 33-22 loss in the 11th Annual NY NJ All Star Football Classic. On hand for the game were Baltimore Ravens running-back and former Rutgers and New York All Star Ray Rice who was cheering on his state and younger brother Markel Rice. Also representing New York was current Syracuse and last year New York All Stars quarterback David Legree who was at the event to support his brother Jeff. New Jersey had its own share of supporters led by a group of juniors and possible 2009 New Jersey All Stars.

05/26/2008: TOP BigTime Showcase CB chooses PSU
In 2004 Derrick Williams returned back to Eleanor Roosevelt (MD) HS with the Elite College Combine WR MVP and Overall Offensive MVP awards. Four years later is was the Raiders DB Stephon Morris returning south from New Jersey with two BigTime Football Showcase awards. Morris recently delivered a verbal pledge to coach Joe Paterno and his staff.

05/22/2008: A strong, confident and skilled O-lineman
Nicholas Cattolico as all over the place on May 8 at the BigTime Football Showcase. The 6-foot-4, 338 pound offensive lineman was sensational in the lineman drills and event attempted to run a few pass routes as a receiver. The Delran, NJ junior tied for first place in the Strong Man contest and did everything necessary in proving that he should be the Garden State top offensive-lineman.

05/18/2008: Paulsboro's Hodges, one of nations best
Paulsboro High School (Gloucester County, NJ) may not be a nationally known football program but the small Garden State program has one of the nation's top recruits for the Class of 2009. Hodges recently displayed his talents at the BigTime Football Showcase and holds a dozen offers. Two of those programs who have offered have caught the eye of the 6-foot-2, 215 pound safety.

05/07/2008: DC's Yeager ready for the BIGTIME
Last year Ballou High School's Emmanuel Yeager attended the Elite College Combine and came-up short of winning the events QB MVP award given to Florida State-bound EJ Manuel. But a year and an events name change later - Yeager is back in New Jersey with his eyes on the prize once again. "Oh that MVP award is mine ... I'm returning back to DC with that," he said.
